Professional AV solutions require video to be recieved from a great many different sources and locations. The ability to recieve and display video directly from online resources such as CCTV networks and remote desktop applications and combining them with local inputs has become an everyday part of fully functional video wall display. Datapath's ActiveSQX PCIe plug in card is a powerful addition to systems that require a scalable hardware based decoding solution.

The ActiveSQX includes a dedicated processor capable of decoding several IP streams simultaneously via the on-board ethernet ports. Fully PCIe compatible, multiple ActiveSQX cards can be used in a single system to provide project scalability giving users more processing and more simultaneous decodes.


Datapath SQX Technologies

Datapath's SQX technology is compatible with industry standards for video compression and streaming. The ActiveSQX allows users to decide large numbers of high definition 1080p 60 fps streams and multiple ActiveSQX cards reside in a single system to provide even more decoding capabilities. In addition, the ActiveSQX can be placed in systems alongside graphics cards and video capture cards, such as the Datapath Vision range, to provide a powerful addition to any control room environment. Combine the ActiveSQX with the VisionHD2-SQX to provide full decode and encode capabilities in a single video wall system.

VisionLC-HD

Discreet video capture is now the mainstay of many small form factor appliances being uses in markets such as lecture capture, distance learning and medical environments. Datapath's VisionLC-HD provides HDMI capture for use within such applications.

Datapath's LiveStream:Capture architecture allows captured video to be processed and delivered in real time to a processor or graphics card. The VisionLC-HD supports on board colour space conversion and scaling, providing the ability to efficiently transfer the video signal in a suitable format for rendering or encoding applications. The VisionLC-HD natively supports 32, 24, 16 and 12 bit YUV and RGB formats. 


Multi-application capture

The VisionLC-HD capture card has been designed for use within application models such as:

  • Medical environments
  • Simulation systems
  • Live events
  • PC and gaming console capture
  • Lecture and presentation capture
  • Real time streaming

It is also possible to put more than a single card into a system for multiple capture channels.

Due to the nature of the LiveStream:Capture architecture, the VisionLC-HD is not supported for wall controller applications that depend on Datapath's MultiStream technology.


Video streaming

Built upon the Microsoft AV stream model, VisionLC-HD inputs can be accessed and enumerated in any DirectShow or Media Foundation supported application. A video for Linux (V4L) driver package is also available to download.
